Our Story

Matick Auto Team traces its roots back to the early 1920s when George Matick Sr. arrived in Detroit from Croatia with a dream and a tireless work ethic. After working his way up in the industry, he opened Northwest Motor Sales in 1950. His son, George Jr., carried on the legacy, eventually founding George Matick Chevrolet in 1967. Today, that same spirit lives on through Karl Zimmermann, company president and George Jr.'s son-in-law, who leads with the belief that we should always "treat customers as we'd want to be treated ourselves."
